The Edenbridge Duck Race is BACK – and it’s going to be QUACKING MAD! 🦆
Has the Edenbridge Community Christmas Association gone quackers again?
Well… maybe just a little. But with the river still flowing, a flock of highly trained (and definitely not bath) racing ducks ready to go, some fresh recruits in the lineup, and a team of enthusiastic volunteers bringing you this year’s Christmas Fair, festive lights, and the town’s Christmas tree — how could we not bring back the legendary… Edenbridge Duck Race
It is only £2 to purchase your duck and it will be automatically entered into the big race (unless you prefer to let your duck sit this one out).
Get ready to cheer on your duck and support a fantastic cause — all proceeds help bring Christmas magic to Edenbridge! The race promoters are offering prizes for the winning duck (or owner) receiving £100, second place £50 and 3rd place £25. The last duck home will also be rewarded.
Please note: only over 16's can purchase a duck(s).
FURTHER INFOMATION
The race will be filmed and made available to be viewed online on our ECCA website, Facebook, and Instagram after it has taken place. This year you can come and cheer your duck/s on their grand adventure. Please check back here nearer the time for exact location and time.
You do not need to attend the race as it will be photographed and filmed, with footage being uploaded on social media and our website after the event. All winners will be contacted.
*No ducks are harmed in the making of this race. These are river racing ducks not bath ducks, trained for years using images of the River Eden so they are 100% ready as demonstrated in the picture!
